Award

Travis Romagnoli

Gymnastics, USA

While at the University of Illinois, Travis competed regularly at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championships and had three third place finishes, three second place finishes, and was a two-time National Champion in a variety of events, including Vault, All-Around, Parallel Bars, Horizontal Bar, and Team Competition. Rather than the typical medal on a ribbon lanyard, these plaques indicate the place finishes of competitors. Travis explains their significance:

“Each plaque (except the Team Award) represents an NCAA All-American honour (a top 6-finish in an event at an NCAA Championships).”
