This annual program celebrates an exceptional male and female athletes for their achievements both on and off their respective fields of play, and is recognized at the Annual Induction Celebration Evening.
The Future Hall of Famer of the Year Program celebrates the next generation of exceptional athletes who are proudly representing our community through their dedication, achievements and commitment to sport. Each year, the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame’s Education Committee recognizes two outstanding local athletes, aged 18 and under, whose accomplishments both on and off the field of play demonstrate the qualities of a future leader and champion.
Selected athletes are honoured as a Future Hall of Famer of the Year and receive a sponsor-funded bursary to help support their ongoing nutrition, equipment and training needs.
Each recipient is also recognized at our Annual Induction Celebration Evening and proudly featured in the event’s program guide, local media, social media, and has a presence on the Norm Johnson Hall of Education recognition wall.
Through this program, we celebrate more than athletic achievement. We recognize potential, dedication and the inspiring young athletes who are helping shape the future of sport in Aurora.
