Future hall of Famer of the month

February 2025
Kian Khademi

Kian Khademi

Aurora High School

Currently in his final year of high school, Kian Khademi has been a key cog in his school’s distinguished volleyball program. For the first time in school history, the Aurora High School Eagles are back-to-back Boys’ AA Volleyball Champions in the York Region Athletic Association (YRAA). For that regional accomplishment, Kian and his teammates advanced and competed against the province’s top teams at the OFSAA Boys’ AA Volleyball Championship in 2023 in Stratford and 2024 in St. Catharines.

Kian’s teacher-coach at the school, Steve Forster, describes the Grade 12 student as a humble, respectful and supportive teammate. On the court, Forster believes that Kian’s ability to remain calm under pressure, paired with his strength in communicating well with other players, are important traits which have led to individual and team success. Kian relies on quick reflexes, strong decision-making and solid anticipation skills on the volleyball court.

In addition to playing on the Eagles’ volleyball team for all four years in high school, Kian has also participated in track and field and cross country. Kian enjoys working on his craft by playing beach volleyball and by being a member of the 18U Storm Volleyball Club here in York Region. He can also be counted upon in a coaching role at various volleyball clinics for the Storm when his schedule permits.

Kian is a committed student who strives to do well in the classroom. He is intent on studying Business at the University of Guelph beginning in September and he’s also hopeful of continuing his volleyball playing career. Further down the road, Kian would like to take on an apprenticeship to become an electrician.

Congratulations, Kian!
