Award winning artist working with Aurora Sports Hall of Fame October 17, 2017

Aurora, ON, Friday, October 6 – The Aurora Sports Hall of Fame is thrilled to have acquired the creative services of local artist Paul Riley. Paul will be creating official portraits of the Hall of Fame’s inductees, emulating the commemoration of the most prestigious Halls of Fame in the country.

Copies of the portraits will be erected in the Hall of Fame in the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex. The originals will be presented to this year’s inductees at the Hall’ of Fame’s Induction Celebration to be held at St. Andrew’s College on November 8th.

“When Paul reached out to us about the possibility of working with us, I was over the moon,” say Nancy Black, Executive Director, Aurora Sports Hall of Fame. “His work is beautiful and having our Honoured Members commemorated like they do at the Hockey Hall of Fame puts us in the big leagues. His portraits will improve the visual components of the actual Hall of Fame and will become treasured gifts for our Honoured Members and their families.”

“I’m very excited to be working with the Hall,” says Paul Riley. “Community involvement is very important to me, so to be able to create portraits for the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame is a perfect fit.”
