Aurora Sports Hall of Fame (ASHoF) will require attendees to provide a proof of vaccination prior to an event.
In support of the province’s fight against the fourth wave, the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame (ASHoF) announces its COVID-19 policy around public gatherings. These efforts align with the provincial restrictions and further tighten the safety measures to protect volunteers, honoured members, inductees, and guests at various functions organized and or participated by ASHoF.
The COVID-19 policy measures announced recognize the policies implemented by various other organizations to address concerns over the evolving pandemic.
Measures outlined in ASHoF’s COVID-19 policy include:
- Attendees, at an ASHoF sponsored event, will have to provide proof of vaccination prior to entry with exception to those 11 years or younger. (Unless this age group has been approved for vaccination.)
- In the event an attendee is able to provide medical evidence recommending they not be vaccinated then they shall be permitted to enter provided they show a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the event. They will also be required to wear a mask throughout their attendance.
- For fully vaccinated attendees, wearing of masks at or during the event will be determined closer to the event after consultation with the Town of Aurora and York Region Public Health.
- If an attendee has come in contact with an individual who has tested positive within 14 days prior to the event, they won’t be able to attend the event even if fully vaccinated
- Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 regardless of the vaccination will not be able to attend the event until tested negative.
- In cases where one is unable to attend the event because they tested positive or came in contact with someone who tested positive within 14 days prior to the event, ASHoF will issue a charitable tax receipt to the purchaser for the purchase price of the ticket.
ASHoF will continue to monitor the situation around the pandemic as it evolves. This policy is subject to change based on the evolving landscape to ensure utmost safety for ASHoF members and attendees.
