ASHoF Receives First Cornerstone Donation
Town of Aurora supports the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame with $5000.00 Charter Cornerstone Donation
Aurora, ON, June 24th, 2014
In a vote of 5-3, Aurora Town Council voted this evening to support the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame by donating $5000.00 to become a Charter Cornerstone Donor.
“This donation is very welcomed and highly valued,” stated the Cornerstone Committee Chair, Ron Weese, who made the request of Town Council. “This shows that the Town is a true partner in helping us preserve and celebrate sport history in Aurora and the Town will now forever now be connected to the Sports Hall of Fame.,” he continued.
Charter donations are accepted only until October 31st, which is the one-year anniversary of the incorporation of the Hall. Once the date has passed, there will be no more opportunities to be a Charter donor. Charter donors are offered guest status at all Induction dinners and VIP events, public recognition in perpetuity and their names will be placed in the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame, identifying them as contributors to the project in the first year of development.
Other sponsorship opportunities are available through the Cornerstone Committee or by contacting the chair at sporthalloffame@sportaurora.ca
