2015 Aurora Sports Hall of Fame Induction Night December 8, 2015

Sold out for the 3rd year, the Induction Celebration Dinner of the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame was held for the first time at prestigious St. Andrew’s College in Cole Hall on Wednesday November 4th.

Attendees were delighted to be entertained by Aurora resident and TSN Sports personality, James Duthie, who welcomed the 2015 slate of inductees into the Hall. This included the builder of Aurora’s Timberlane Athletic Club (Kenneth Sinclair) an Olympic beach volleyball player (Mark Heese), a builder of sports for the disabled  (Alan Dean) and the host of Aurora’s first and only sports television broadcast; SportsBeat (Lowell McClenny).

Before the night began, Honoured Members were able to mingle with sports enthusiasts and local supporters in a VIP reception. A new addition this year was that of a live Auction which netted the organization just over $10,000.

The highlight of the night remains the inductee presentations and once again, the Hall poured on the pomp and ceremony to celebrate Aurora’s sports heroes. The popular segments of the evening were those of the Inductee presentations and audiovisual vignettes which showcased the lives and sport paths of the Hall’s newest class.
